Run a new quarter-inch water line from an accessible cold-water source (under adjacent sink, basement, or crawlspace within ~25 feet) to the refrigerator, with a proper tee-and-ball-valve connection (no saddle valves), copper or braided line included, connected and leak-tested. NOT included: routes requiring wall or ceiling opening in finished spaces, refrigerator repair, or filter systems.

Typical duration: about 120 minutes on site.
